The answer

Most sites go from first call to live in four to six weeks. A five page build can be done in three if your copy and images are ready. Larger sites with CMS collections or ecommerce run eight to twelve weeks. The clock really starts when we have your content, which is where most projects slip.

Where the time actually goes

Design and build take about three weeks of the schedule. The rest is content, revisions and testing. Projects rarely slip because of build time, they slip waiting on copy, photography and sign off from someone who is on holiday.

How to make it faster

  • Get content ready early. Even rough copy beats an empty page.
  • Name one decision maker. Feedback by committee adds a week every time.
  • Book the photography now. Real images of your team always outperform stock.
Sixty seconds, fixed figure, no callback ambush.
