Do I need a page for every town I serve?

The answer

Only if you can say something specific about each one. A page per town works when it carries local projects, prices and detail that would look wrong anywhere else. Fifty near identical pages with the town name swapped will be read as thin content and can drag the rest of the site down with them.

What a town page needs to earn its place

  • A real project nearby. Photos, the brief, and what the work achieved.
  • Local detail. The kind of thing only someone who works there would know.
  • Its own answer. Pricing or timescales specific to that area, not a copied paragraph.

We pruned our own location pages for exactly this reason, cutting the ones that could not clear that bar.
