Making one of the UK’s best tech PR agencies easier to find

Wildfire is a B2B tech PR agency based in Kingston-upon-Thames, which has worked with the likes of Salesforce, Microsoft, ServiceNow, Samsung and Confluent.

They have been doing this since 1987, and have grown to become one of the most effective and respected tech PR agencies in the country. Employee-owned, a certified B Corp, and PRmoment’s Technology Agency of the Year in both 2024 and 2025. They came to us to make sure the businesses looking for an agency like theirs could find them in the first place.

THE RUNDOWN

The people who hire a tech PR agency tend to search by service and by city rather than by agency name, and Wildfire didn’t have pages built around those searches. We were brought in to develop them, to strengthen the technical foundations of a Squarespace site that can only be changed through custom CSS and code injection, and to put an SEO-first content plan in place that their own writers could pick up and run with. Everything we report goes in front of their board each month, so every figure we give them carries the source it came from.

Google AI Overviews and AI Mode

Times Google showed each Wildfire page in an AI answer, including two pages that weren’t live in September.

DELIVERED

New pages, built around what people search for

We’ve been working with them to produce new pages for the site, starting with a London tech PR page written around what the city means to someone buying PR, which is closeness to the media and the analysts rather than an address on a map. A MarTech page followed. Alongside those, we built a content plan from a full year of Wildfire’s own search data, with five briefs their writers could pick up and run with.

Technical work underneath

We rebuilt the structure the site sits on. Wildfire’s structured data now works as a single organisation entity that every page points back to, covering the sector pages, 37 case studies and 28 team profiles, so search engines read the site as one business rather than a collection of separate pages. Metadata is complete across all 113 pages, and alt text now covers the entire site.

Standing in AI search

More of their buyers now start with a language model rather than a search box, so we’ve been working to build Wildfire’s standing in AI search as a credible and often cited source. That work is ongoing, and it covers the third-party coverage and citations these tools draw on as much as it does the way the site presents itself to them.

Where it stands

Search "tech pr london" and Wildfire is the first result. The same goes for "technology pr london" and "b2b tech pr agency london", and they sit in the top two across the wider London cluster, including "tech pr agency london" and "tech pr agency uk". Those are the searches their next client is most likely to be making. They’ve always been one of the top agencies around, and we’re helping them make that clear to anyone looking.

Google UK, average position

Seven of Wildfire’s 14 core searches now sit in Google’s top three. In August, none did.
